Funshot that was

By all acounts so far, a good time was had by all. I got several complaints again that it was too easy, I can fix that.

In all 26 showed, and we had enough carbines to man a squad, that had a ball. If you have a carbine in pistol caliber, .22, 9mm, .40, .45, in whatever platform, I recommend bringing it along.

Scores are posted in the usual place.

see you all next month.

Funshoot time again!

This Saturday is the May funshoot, Same fun time, same fun place. No big surprises this month, and since I can't figure out a good theme food for May, I think the Loli pop tree will make a repeat appearance. The wicked wheel will be back, as will our usual friends. Round count will be just under 100. Pistol caliber carbines (yes .22Lr too) are now standard fare, bring 'em whenever you want.

As always, please visit the following links for info and reminders, and of course, shoot me an email at iwlafunshoot1@comcast.net with any questions or comments.

Tip of the day

Keep your bag packed. It sounds simple, and it is, but you cannot overestimate the importance of this. Today it is far to easy too make excuses not to practice or attend a match. Everyday pressures and overbooked schedules prevent us from doing the things we like. If you finally get the chance you've been waiting for to get in a little range time you don't want to dread rushing to pack your gear before heading off to the range.

Ben and I repack our bags as soon as we return from the range every time. We replenish our ammo supply, clean out any trash and spent brass, make any repairs or adjustments and wipe down and oil our guns. Then we close it up and put our holster belt on top, and we are 100% ready to hit the range at a moments notice.

You never know when your schedule will clear up a little or a friend will call or email and invite you to the range. Be ready for it.
